Holy Spirit directed me to go in a different direction the last two Sundays. 0:16 But he's bringing me back around today with something that I taught recently. In fact, I meet, if you're not a part of it, you're welcome to be a part of it, but I meet with a discipleship group every Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. at Pallet Coffee in Sanford, every Wednesday, 9 a.m. If you want to be a part of that, you can. But I was teaching them this past Wednesday on a particular subject that 0:37 that I'm going to carry over today because as I was teaching them, Holy Spirit began to illuminate some things in me regarding the subject and 0:52 I knew immediately that he was illuminating it because it's something that we all need to hear. And I'm going to release that word to you today. And if I were going to give this a title, it would be All In. Everybody say All In. All In. 1:09 So when I say that, all in, you know, we get these different ideas in our minds, but to me, I just want you to know how I would interpret those two words, all in, regarding this particular message. I interpret them as this, all in. I am going all in. I am not leaving anything out, but I'm saying, Father, everything in me, I want to make sure it is in alignment with everything that is in you. Is that your heart and prayer today? Yes. 1:36 So we talked about this past Wednesday in the discipleship group meeting that I was teaching, we talked about what it means to not be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. What it means, everybody say, to not be ashamed. 1:54 Be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. You don't have to say that part. So I want to read a couple of scriptures, and I want to bring some clarity to what that really means and what he's really saying because, as I said Wednesday, I've believed for a long time. I've even taught on this years ago, but I have never... 2:18 Not never. For a long time, I have understood that word ashamed to be what it really is. When we read that, and I'm going to read it in a moment in Romans and in Luke, and there's other passages as well in Matthew, but I'm going to read these two passages here. When we see the word ashamed, we think of, especially in regards to these scriptures, we think of it in light of, if you're not ashamed of me, I won't be ashamed of you before the Father and before the heavens. 2:48 We think of that as almost an embarrassment. Almost as we think of that being ashamed as an embarrassment and a withdrawal because of embarrassment or because we're afraid or what have you. That's usually what that interpretation is, but that is not at all what this means. In the Greek, this does not at all mean I'm embarrassed, I'm afraid to share the gospel with Jesus Christ, I clam up. 3:15 It doesn't mean that at all. It means something completely different. But before we jump into that, let me go ahead and read these scriptures. In Romans, I'll begin with Romans 1 verse 16 says this. This is a scripture. Both of these I'm going to read. Our verses you are very familiar with and you've heard read many, many times before. 3:33 I'm going to give you a different perspective, a right perspective of what these scriptures actually mean. So let's start with Romans 1 verse 16. It says, For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. In other words, to everyone. Nobody's left out. For I am not ashamed. Everybody say, he said, for I am not ashamed. He said, for I am not ashamed. 4:04 That's what he said. I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation. No doubt about it. Now let's look at Luke chapter 9, verse 26. It says this, it says, For whoever is ashamed, everybody say ashamed. Ashamed. 4:19 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. For whoever is ashamed, again say ashamed. Ashamed. 4:39 He's making it very, very clear here. He's letting us know there is a tit-for-tat, if you will. There is a this is what happens if this happens. There is a and if moment. So he's making that very clear. The problem is so much of the church world... 5:00 And the body of Christ, perhaps even those that are in this room right now, when you read these two scriptures, and there are others that are similar, we'll get to in a moment. The problem with the body of Christ is if we read this as ashamed in the way that we interpret ashamed, not the way that Paul meant ashamed or the writer of Luke meant ashamed, and when we 5:25 When we see that word ashamed, we get the sense of, man, if I'm embarrassed to talk about him, if I'm embarrassed to be boisterous, if I'm embarrassed to carry a Bible, if I'm embarrassed to testify, if I'm embarrassed to be a witness, if I'm embarrassed to do this, then he's going to be embarrassed of me. And that's the way we see it. I'm going to tell you that's all wrong. 5:45 That is completely wrong, and that is not what is intended in these verses, in these scriptures. In fact, in any reference to our position in Christ, that is not what is intended at all. Let me give you this example, and then I'll move on. None of us in this room, or all of us in this room, let me say it this way. All of us in this room have very different personalities. Very different. For some of us, it's very easy. For me, it's easy. 6:12 It's easy for me to talk to anybody, anywhere. I'm thankful for that. And you know what? It hasn't always even been that way. I think I've shared it before. When I was growing up, I was a little bit more shy, just shy. 6:24 little bit and I'm just not that way anymore and I haven't been that way and I don't even remember when. So for me, when I go somewhere, whether it's to have coffee or it's in the grocery store or it's at a football game and I'm sitting beside someone, it is easy for me to engage them in conversation. Really easy. No matter where they go with that, I don't have a problem with that. I'm not ashamed. I'm not ashamed. 6:50 to talk to them about whatever. It's easy. However, for some people in this room, sitting beside somebody, opening up a conversation, telling them that you have a relationship with Jesus Christ is overwhelming. Even taking a moment to share with them, if they ask you, even if they bring it up and they say, you know, I noticed that you have a tattoo on your arm that says Yahweh. Can you tell me about that? I could, but man, I'd rather not. No. 7:24 So there's this sense that, you know what, man, now there's guilt sets in. Man, I had opportunity and I missed it because I'm ashamed. And now Jesus is going to be ashamed of me when he returns. And I'm shameful. How am I ever going to get past this? Because, man, they wanted to know, but I was so ashamed. And now I feel guilt. Am I really saved in this guilt? And it's oppressive. It's oppressive. 7:54 So then what people sometimes do is they take that, and because they never want to feel that again, even if they don't know what to say, they just start saying stuff. And then it tends to not be the right stuff. And it creates more confusion than it does good. Are you following along with me right here? It's going to make more sense in a minute. So there's so many people in the body of Christ today that when they read these scriptures, they interpret this as an embarrassment of... 8:24 talking about Christ or being quiet when I shouldn't, there's this sense, that sense that that is present and that isn't at all what this is saying. So to understand these scriptures that I read just now, we need to first understand what the meaning of ashamed here in these references actually is. I need you to say this with me. Say ashamed means denial. Denial. 8:55 Very big difference between denial and embarrassment or withholding. Okay, let's say it again. Ashamed means denial. Okay, so let me read this. It means denial of the gospel or the power of Jesus Christ to do his redemptive work. Denial that his redemptive work sets you apart. Okay. 9:27 You are not demonstrating that you are set apart because you are vocal. You are not demonstrating that you are set apart because you carry on a conversation with every stranger you meet and try to lead them to Christ. 9:44 You are not demonstrating that you are because of these reasons. You are not, that is not changing. That is not a demonstration that you are set apart. The demonstration that you are set apart is that you do these two things. You hear his voice and obey it. You hear his voice and you obey it. So let me show you what I mean by this word denial. And I'm going to use a scripture that's going to be, I think we'll make it as simple 10:16 clear as I possibly can, and we're going to refer again first back to Luke chapter 9 verse 26, and he says this, for whoever is ashamed of me and my words, everybody say ashamed. Again, I'm going to show you what the true meaning is here by using Christ's words, not mine. For whoever is ashamed of me and my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father in heaven. This is words of Christ. These are the words of Christ. But then he goes on and he says this, 10:48 He restates this scripture in Luke chapter 12, verses 8 and 9 by saying, this is Christ again, a little bit later. He's restating it. He's clarifying what it means to be ashamed. Not ashamed as embarrassed. Not ashamed as in quiet. Not ashamed as in reluctant. That's not ashamed. That's not what he's referring to. He restates it by saying this in Luke 12, verses 8 and 9. He said, and I tell you, this is Jesus speaking. 11:15 Everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God. And he explains that. But the one who denies me before men, that one will be denied before the angels of God. 11:38 He restates Luke chapter 9 verse 26 by saying, I want to make it clear. It's not simply that you are a quiet person. I'm not going to be ashamed of you or disregard you or deny you because your personality isn't boisterous or loud or easy to get to know other people or to lead them to me. I'm not going to punish you because of that. 12:02 What I'm going to do is make it very clear in Luke chapter 12 by saying to you, it isn't about being embarrassed or being quiet or being reserved or not in ignoring the moment. It is about denial. If you deny me. So in the same conversation, if I'm sitting and make this clear, if I'm sitting at a table with someone and they say, what is that tattoo? Well, I'd rather not talk about it. And now that that's embarrassment. Okay. 12:32 Communicate well with others. I don't know enough about it. That's not denial. However, if someone says, what is that? Well, that's Yahweh. That's the Tetragrammaton. Who is Yahweh? This is a person. This is God Almighty. Has He done anything in your life? You better believe it. Everything about who I am, He's changed. I don't even have to add anything to that. But if I do this now, if I say, well, you know, yeah, but you know... 13:01 I don't know. Has he done anything in my life? I don't know. If I start denying now because I'm embarrassed, now that's a whole different story. Being quiet, being reserved, being reluctant is not the same as denial. Let's read it again in Matthew chapter 10 verse 33. Jesus says again, whoever, what? Whoever does what? Whoever denies me before men, I also will deny. 13:31 Deny before my Father in heaven. It isn't about simply saying, you know what, I don't know what to say, so I'm not going to say anything. It's about denial. It's about saying, no, I don't know him. What are you talking about? We have a disciple that we can refer to. There's a denial that takes place in our lives, and when that denial takes place, God says, Christ says, if you deny me, it's not because you're quiet about me. It's not because you have a different personality. I'm not judging personalities. 13:58 He says, what I'm wanting to do is find out when the moment comes up and you have an opportunity and somebody asks you about me, if I'm standing before Pontius Pilate, what are you going to say when the little girl walks up to you and says, but do you know him? Don't you know who he is? I've never heard of the man. No, that's denial. That's denial. The apostle Paul says later to Timothy, 14:24 In 2 Timothy 3, verse 5, he says this. He says, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power, avoid those people. Why am I saying this today? Because in order to be all in, there are people in here that you are beating yourself up. 14:49 Because when I use that term all in, there's a sense in you that you aren't all in because you're not just out there putting a Bible in everybody's face and telling everyone about Jesus or sitting at the table and being a witness everywhere you go and you don't have 14 bumper stickers on your car and you don't have all that stuff. So you're like, man, I'm ashamed. I'm ashamed. And I'm going to tell you it has nothing to do with that. 15:12 It has to do when the Father sends somebody to you and they begin to ask you questions and they begin to present an opportunity. Are you saying, I don't know him. I've never known him. I don't want anything to do with him. Don't ask me about him again. No, that's denial. And it's that person that Christ will deny. But people who are quiet, who are laid back, who are reserved, and who aren't quick to just jump to becoming a preacher with every person that sits across the table from him, that's not ashamed. That's not what he's talking about at all. 15:40 He says, you know what? It's okay because I know your personality. I know who you are I know what your strengths are and I know what your weaknesses are and i'm going to give you opportunities within those strengths and within those weaknesses And i'm going to grow you and i'm going to change you and i'm going to help you but i'm going to i'm going to work with you You're not going to hell because you didn't have a conversation with that person sitting beside you But now if you deny me now, that's a whole nother story if i've changed your whole life And then there's a denial about that. That's a whole different situation 16:10 So Paul says, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power, avoid such people. So I'm going to tell you, I'm not going to run or avoid people who are quiet about their faith. That doesn't matter to me. Just because they're quiet about their faith, as long as they demonstrate faith. I'm not avoiding people that are quiet about their faith, but I am avoiding people that say, I don't believe in God. I don't want anything to do with God. God isn't even real. God doesn't do anything for anybody. That's the person I'm avoiding. Are you hearing me this morning? 16:53 I need you to understand something because I want to lift the heaviness off of some people today that beat yourselves up, beat yourselves up every single day because you don't feel like you're talking loud enough or fast enough or to all the people that you should be talking to. There's so many, too many actually, too many believers today that don't even know that they're denying the gospel because they lack the main provision to avoid denying the gospel. 17:24 See, a lot of people are denying it today. They don't even know they're denying the gospel. This is where it's going to get a little tricky this morning. Just a minute. It's going to get a little tricky because, one, I like tricky. And the Holy Spirit knows that, so He gives me tricky things. I like it. And because I think it's a good teaching tool. I think it helps us. I think it grows us. So when I consider that there are people today that are denying, maybe even in this room, only you will know that momentarily. 17:59 But there are people certainly, whether today or another day listening to the podcast, that are denying the gospel of Jesus Christ. You're not ashamed of it. You're not ashamed. You're not embarrassed. You're not quiet, but there's denial. See, you can be quiet and be in denial. You can be loud and be in denial. 18:15 As I said a while ago, people that walk into the room and they open their Bibles immediately and they judge every single thing I'm saying by the Bible, therefore they never hear. They judge it in the moment by, through their following, they're trying to find Scripture to disqualify what I'm saying. There might be people present right now doing that. I don't know. Watching online or in this room. But they'll do that. That's denial. That's denial of the power of God to be able to do its work in you. Now, there'll be a time. You can sort it all out. But first you've got to be willing to sit and you've got to be willing to listen. You've got to be willing to hear. Amen. 18:45 So the people that think they got all the Bible figured out and they're doing all the judging, they're not ashamed to try to decipher and try to dig in there and tear things apart, but they're in denial of the power of the gospel to come into them and change their life through the one who God sent with a word that day. So again, there are so many today that are in denial because they lack the single, one of the most profound, what's the word I want to use? One of the most, it is the most profound word 19:25 that Yahweh has given us, and it only comes when Holy Spirit is present in us. When we receive Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit takes up residence in our life, that part of the Father that makes us known to Him and Him known to us. There's a key that He gives, and it's called, and I want you to say it with me, discernment. Discernment. So when we consider that there's a key that He has given us called discernment, and that tool is available to us, 19:59 Most of the people most people in fact, I will say it this way all people 100 of the people who have received christ and yet Deny him even if they don't know they're denying him yet You'll know in a minute and deny him are people who do not access The key of discernment they don't access it. I'll show you what i'm talking about But first turn to romans chapter 12, please verse 2 we make a couple statements 20:39 To deny Christ is to not recognize who He is and the expression that He is. And we deny Christ because of what I said a moment ago, a lack of discernment regarding what is, say this with me, of Christ. 21:05 It's easy to deny him when we lack discernment that shows us what is of or from or comes out of him. Without discernment, I don't know. It's one big blur. Romans 12 says this, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern, everybody say discern, 21:35 What is the will of God? What is good and what is acceptable and what is perfect? There's another version of this Bible that says you will know you are mature when you are accessing the spirit of discernment in your life. You've come to a place of maturity in him when you allow discernment to lead you into that place. And it does. 22:01 And then in Philippians chapter 1, it says this, starting with verse 9, And this is my prayer, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight... 22:16 So that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ. Discernment allows you to know what is best and it makes you pure and blameless for the day of Christ. Discernment. So let me show you something. So I have two rings here. I have a hula hoop and no, nope, nope. It's not going to happen. What you think is going to happen. Well, who put that there? Right? 22:49 This is not what you think. I'm not going to do a hula hoop. Everybody say, but this is the world. Imagine inside this circle, this is the world. This is everything that's in it. It is wide. It is big. It is without discernment. Everybody say, this is discernment. In fact, if I can, let me do this. I want it to be a little smaller. Say, this is discernment. A couple of years ago, my wife's brother, Jason, my brother-in-law, bought me a 23:36 It was right before the, whatever that last hurricane was that came through here. And he bought me this floodlight and sent it to me, had it delivered to me. And I got this, I've never owned a floodlight. So I have this floodlight, you power it, you charge it up. And I take that light and I'm fascinated by this thing. I go out in the, I live on five acres and I go out in the backyard in the middle of the night. The darker the night, the better. But I'll take this flashlight, AJ, this beaming spotlight and 24:07 And I have a thousand trees in my yard and I can take this flashlight and I can shine it up anywhere I want to in that tree and it will illuminate a specific spot in that tree. So if I'm looking for an owl, if my wife and I are sitting out there, which we hear it all the time, we hear a little hoot owl out there. We hear him out there doing his thing. If we want to find him, we can take that flashlight out there and we can hold it up and we can look and we can spot an owl or we can spot whatever it is that's making noise. 24:37 We can flash that thing out there. It will illuminate that. Not everything around it, but it will illuminate that specific thing so that it becomes visible. We know what it is. Is it an owl? Is it a hawk? Is it a whatever? You know, you couldn't hear it, but you could see it. What is that? It will illuminate that and make it clear. When the hurricane came and winds are blowing and we lost a bunch of trees in our yard, it was night. You know, hurricanes in Florida, if you've just moved here, they always come at 2 in the morning. 25:07 So go ahead and sleep during the day and then get up at one or two in the morning. It's never during daylight. So the hurricane came and it was blowing. We had trees falling. We had big trees falling and you can hear them. I can't see them because it's dark. Wind's blowing, rain's blowing. I mean, everything's just murky and cloudy out there. And we had one big tree fell across the road and we, anyway, trees are falling. You know what I did? I wanted to make sure because we have trees that are close to my house. 25:40 So what I don't want, I'm hearing, you know, and things crashing. We had, I think, what was it, eight trees, I think, that fell in our yard in the last one. So I'm hearing all of this, and I go out there with a light against my wife's. Babe, don't go out there. But if you're a man, it's like, I must. You throw your shoulders back and put your chest down. This is what men do, you know. But I take my spotlight. 26:10 And I go out there and I get out as far as I felt safe to go and I'm flashing because I want to make sure because we heard things cracking and I want to make sure none of those branches were coming towards my house. I don't know what I would have done if they were. I would have come up with something and the story would have been longer. 26:27 But I took the spotlight and I went out there and I shone it around, beamed it all around the trees, all the way around my house. And I saw a couple branches that were not threatening, but I saw, you know, that's what I heard crack. That's what I heard break. It'll fall. And it did later. But it'll fall, but it's not going to hurt the house. But what it did was that little bitty light. See, in this great big world, it was just darkness everywhere. In that great big world, that little spotlight caused me to focus on a specific moment, a specific thing, and I saw a couple branches. 26:59 so that I could make a decision on what to do. But if it wasn't for that spotlight, I would not have known. What is where? What is going on? It's all out there. And when it does that, you know what it does? Do you know what not knowing does? Creates fear, creates anxiety, what we were talking about this morning. Well, I hear the branches cracking, I hear the trees falling, but I don't know where they're at, and I don't have any way to spotlight those things to give myself peace. Are you with me? I need a way to condense the beams. 27:31 as it were, so that I can have peace. Now, so imagine this is darkness. This is the world. Everything inside this is the world. And see, this is what Holy Spirit does. See, without discernment, everything goes together. Everything's okay. Everything's all right. But see, then what happens is Holy Spirit comes in and he says, well, wait a minute now. There are things that without discernment, you can't see. And without discernment, you're going to deny that there's anything evil in here. 28:05 Without discernment, it all looks the same. Without discernment, it all looks acceptable. Without discernment, it all looks okay. Without discernment, this thing flows into that thing. You don't know where one begins and one ends. But within that, if we're walking with the Father and we're walking with Holy Spirit, what He does is He says, but I want to show you something. Within what looks okay, within what looks all right, 28:28 Within what looks acceptable, he said, if you will allow me, I will give you a spirit of discernment. And if you will exercise discernment, I'm going to pinpoint some things that you cannot see without discernment. And then suddenly, this comes in. And all my visual acuity goes right through that circle. And suddenly, right here in this spot, I see something I didn't even know was there. Oh, I didn't know that was in my world. And then he leads me over here. Oh, now I'm looking through this little... 29:04 circle in this great big circle. Oh, I didn't know that was there. That's discernment. He focuses your vision by Holy Spirit to be able to see what is there that has come to allow you to deny who he is. See, discernment allows me to focus and to see clearly where the power of God is and where the power of God isn't. Discernment allows me to accept 29:43 that what's within this is for me and deny what this is without him. It allows me to deny the correct things. But there are too many in the body of Christ today who are denying Christ while accepting all of this because there's no discernment that says, this is the way. Here's the little bitty door. Does that make sense? Even though you have all of this available to you, 30:22 All of this is not of me, but if you will allow and not deny me when my word comes to you, not deny me when truth comes to you, if you will allow and not deny me, you will see clearly what I have prepared for you, whatever that is. A lot of people today are stumbling around in all of this because they don't see clearly what he has for them. He says you need discernment. And then in Hebrews chapter 5, I want to read this. It says, 30:52 Hebrews 5.14, solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice so that they can distinguish good from evil. See, being ashamed is not having discernment. 31:18 And then doing nothing with it. That's not what he's talking about. He's talking everything about Christ. He says, if you deny me in the middle of all of this when I've given you discernment and I've shown you the right way and then you deny me and you remove discernment from that and go ahead and accept it all, when it comes time, I'm denying you too. Because I'm not going to let you and your whole idea of what should be in your mind impact and affect and alter and contaminate what I created. Amen. 31:50 For the kingdom of God to be. Do you hear me today? 31:55 So again, let me read this. He says in Hebrews 5.14, solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained. How are those powers of discernment trained? Through constant use. Through constant use. Allowing Holy Spirit to speak to me in whatever way He does. It may be through the preacher. It may be because Archie was sharing some things that he read in Scripture the other day he had not seen before and he's read the Bible all his life. 32:22 But discernment, being able to keep your eyes open on what does the Father have for me, and it says what discernment will do, it will allow you to distinguish good from evil. The problem with so much of the church today is there is no distinguishing between good and evil because there's no discernment. 32:42 There is denial, and out of that denial, it only exists because there's no discernment, and where there's no discernment, everything is good. It is because, walk with me, of a lack of discernment that people, even within the body of Christ, no longer define a man as God defines a man or a woman as God defines a woman. It is because of a lack of discernment. People no longer know what is immoral. 33:17 And with arms wide open, pursue immorality. Everything is okay because God loves. God's love is not a blanket that covers everything. It is an opportunity for everything to be redeemed. That's what God's love is. And it is because of a lack of discernment that it is easy to make what is holy unholy, to make what is righteous unrighteous. 33:53 People no longer understand. Too many people no longer understand what it means to guard the temple of the Holy Spirit, which we are. They no longer guard it because of a lack of discernment. I'm going to get all in it. I have no discernment. I'm all over this thing. I can't even do the hula hoop because I have discernment. No discernment. They're all in this thing, so... 34:39 They don't understand. They have no true interpretation in what, that at conception, there is life, and I do not have the authority to take it where there is no discernment. I know I'm talking to people. I know, and I know there's people that are like, well, you don't understand. I'm not judging anybody by what you have done, but I'm telling you the kingdom of God, the Father will judge you by what you do moving forward. Is anybody hearing me today? 35:09 So we live in this world of confusion because this is confusion. And see what discernment does when I am not denying that Christ has lines. That's probably what we should have called this thing, Christ has lines. When I don't deny that he has lines and I allow the spirit of discernment to say, this is the way, not this way. Don't put this on, put this on. Because when you deny me and you say, everything's good, everything's okay because the love of God is a blanket. 35:49 That covers everything. No, the love of God is an opportunity to be redeemed. It's not automatic redemption. God loves me, so I'm redeemed. Guess what? Unless you said, I repent of my sins, I denied your love in my life, I denied your opportunity in my life, I'm going to tell you, where there's denial, there is sin, and where there is sin, there is a very real hell waiting for every single person who does. Is anybody hearing me today? Amen. 36:24 Because of these things and many, many more, there's many examples that I could give, the gospel is denied and it loses its power to change generations for the glory of Yahweh. Alex, if I say, God, just get out of my way because I'm just going to, I'm telling you what, I'm going in unrestrained. I'm going to take in everything and I'm going to let everything, I'm just somehow, I'm going to be holy in the middle of unholiness. 37:04 And the Father says, unless you're discerning that I'm telling you to do that, you better steer clear because the moment will come that discernment will be gone. And as soon as discernment is gone, there is denial that I have lines that I draw, that I require my sons and my daughters to walk within. Do you hear me today? Jeremiah, and first of all, say this, say, without discernment, everything is permissible. See, without the presence of Holy Spirit, 37:44 And I'll tell you today, if there's no discernment in you, if you, this is going to sound hard, and I don't mean it to sound hard, I mean it to be a trigger that hopefully will cause anyone that falls under this to want to know Him. But if there's no discernment in you today, it's because you have denied Christ so much. I'm going to tell you there's repentance that is necessary for you to see truth. You cannot see truth without discernment. You see this... 38:18 And believe that he's in all of this. And he said, and I'm not. I'm not in all of that. I'm in this spot. And you're putting yourself in the middle of all of this. And I need you to be in this. Instead of letting all of this affect this, if you can get in the middle of this, this will begin to affect all of that. Amen. 38:46 But the reason the church is so confused today is because the church removed this and the church is trying to fit into all of this. And the Father says, you're in denial. Jeremiah chapter 8. Interesting story that I'm going to read here, or passage. Again, dealing with a time when Israel was in a influx. And this is what the Father said through Jeremiah. They were ashamed when they committed abomination. Abomination. 39:33 Or were they ashamed? He asked the question. Were they ashamed when they committed abomination? Jeremiah. And then he answers himself. He said, no, they were not at all ashamed. Why? Because they didn't know how to blush. Can I say this today? Without discernment, we don't know how to blush. Without discernment, we don't even know if we're in the middle of something that was never meant for us. 40:09 It's only through discernment that we realize, how did I get into the middle of this thing? Father, I repent. Extract me from this thing. I'm not going to be a voice for it. I'm going to be a voice against it. Because I recognize if you are not in it, neither will I be. Do you hear me today? So he says, no, they were not at all ashamed. They did not even know how to blush. Therefore, he says, they shall fall among the fallen. And when I punish them, they shall be overthrown, says the Lord. In other words, he's saying, listen, 40:44 It's on them, not me. I provide a discernment. If they don't access that part of Holy Spirit that allows them to see clearly, if they simply throw their arms out and say, we're going to accept everything because that's what the love of God does, then they do not have right interpretation. And maybe I need to teach on that. They have a wrong interpretation of what the love of God is. Because of the love of God is not accepting everything. It's being a difference everywhere. 41:08 Wherever you are. Being a sign and a wonder and because of discernment you are set apart. Not in the middle of everything that is contrary to him. Do you hear me today? There's a song. 41:22 It's called, you've probably heard it, but there's a song, and I love the words, these particular words in the chorus, I believe it is. And the song was written by a man named Ben Fuller. I don't know a lot about him, but this song is fantastic. The name of the song is Wide Awake. And these are the words that are one part of this song that I have listened to probably a dozen times this week. It said, I didn't know I was sleeping. I didn't know I was sleeping. I didn't know I was lost. 41:51 Now that's all wrong. He sings it totally different than that. But those are the right words. I didn't know I was sleeping. I didn't even know I was lost. But you put your key inside me and you opened the eyes of my heart. Let me read it a little different. Let me do this Steve Parker version. I didn't know I was sleeping. I didn't know I was lost. You put discernment inside me and you opened the eyes of my heart. 42:33 This song is about this guy who is recognizing that when I received Christ, something happened. And suddenly, all this time I'd been in the middle of all of this. And then you put discernment inside me. And then I realized, immediately realized, Father, I cannot deny now because discernment is in me. I can no longer deny you by pretending that all of this is of you. 43:09 Now you're removing this from me so that I can be a part of everything that you chose for me while being set apart from what you did not choose for me. Do you hear me this morning? Would you stand with me, please? Transcript generated automatically from the audio, so a few words may be off.
